Mounjaro is a new once-weekly Weight Loss Injection that helps with weight loss by reducing hunger and regulating blood glucose levels. It is injected weekly under the skin (subcutaneous injection). You can buy Mounjaro Weight Loss Injection from our Pharmacy following a consultation.
The active ingredient in Mounjaro is tirzepatide, which is prescribed for adults with obesity. It mimics hormones of your body's GLP-1 and GIP that reduce hunger and regulate blood glucose levels in your body.
It is important to note that it is a prescription-only weight-loss medication. You will be able to buy Mounjaro after completing a short consultation where we will measure your height, weight, BP and BMI to establish some baseline figures.
What is Mounjaro®?
Mounjaro® KwikPen (tirzepatide) is an injectable weight loss drug. Mounjaro® acts in a similar way to a natural hormone in the gut. It helps to control your appetite and make you feel fuller. This, when paired with a reduced calorie diet and increased physical activity, results in effective, healthy weight loss.
How to use Mounjaro®?
Mounjaro® is an injectable medication that comes in a pre-filled pen. It needs to be used once weekly, on the same day. The pen itself is simple to use and the needles are very small, so it’s relatively pain-free and easy to get used to.
Mounjaro® can be injected in the abdomen, thigh or upper arm at any time during the day, with or without food. It’s recommended that you use it around the same time each week — this will regulate the medication’s effectiveness.

Who can use Mounjaro®?
Mounjaro® (tirzepatide) is an injectable weight loss drug for people with a BMI over 30. For individuals with weight related health concerns, they may be eligible with a BMI over 27. These related concerns include high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease and raised cholesterol.
If you have Type 2 diabetes and a BMI less than 27, we can’t prescribe you Mounjaro® for weight loss.
How to calculate your dosage?
Your treatment starts at a low dose and then increases every four weeks. When you first start using Mounjaro®, the starting dose is 2.5 mg, once a week, for four weeks. The dose will then be increased after every four weeks until you reach the recommended dose of 15 mg a week.

Our Pharmacist will review your weight with every order to ensure this product is working for you. This way we can ensure the dose which you peak at is optimal for you. At this peak, for us to continue prescribing Mounjaro® to you, you’ll need to have lost around 5% of your initial body weight after a period of time.
How Much Does Mounjaro Cost?
Mounjaro prices start at £199.00 for a month's supply at Claygate Pharmacy Weight Loss Clinic. This price is inclusive of free consultation by our Pharmacist.
The price of Mounjaro varies depending on the dosage and duration of your treatment.
2.5 mg Mounjaro (Starting)
The starting dose of Mounjaro is 2.5 mg, which costs £199.00 for 4 weeks. This dose helps your body to adjust to the medication. It is taken from week 1 to week 4 as your starting dose.
5 mg Mounjaro (Continuation Dose)
After the starting dose, the first continuation dose of Mounjaro is 5 mg, which costs £229.00 for 4 weeks. It is taken from week 5 to week 8 of starting the weight loss shot.
7.5 mg Mounjaro (Continuation Dose)
The second continuation dose of Mounjaro is 7.5 mg, which costs £249.00 for 4 weeks. It is preferably taken from week 9 to week 12 of your weight loss journey.
10 mg Mounjaro (Continuation Dose)
The third continuation dose of Mounjaro is 10 mg, which costs £249.00 for 4 weeks. It is prescribed from week 13 to week 16 of your weight loss journey.
12.5 mg Mounjaro (Continuation Dose)
The fourth continuation dose of Mounjaro is 12.5 mg, which costs £259.00 for 4 weeks. It is prescribed from week 17 to week 20 when the body has adjusted to the weight loss shot.
15 mg Mounjaro (Maintenance Dose)
The maintenance dose of Mounjaro is 15 mg, which costs £259.00 for 4 weeks. It is prescribed from week 21 onwards when your body has completely adjusted to the weight loss shot. This dose will continue for the remaining duration of your treatment.
